Hello!! Thanks for visiting my blog! Here you will find a conglomeration of things such photos I’ve taken during sessions, stories about my life and family and cool products that I’ve come across. I was introduced to photography in high school where I took a class and was able to develop all my own images. Our darkroom was little more than a broom closet but it was enough to get me hooked! My parents bought me my first SLR back in the film days and I used it mostly for travel photography. I went on to take some college courses but decided to major in education and become and elementary school teacher. I taught for 4 years in the public school system which is where I met my wonderful husband and then became an at-home mom when our beautiful little girl was born. Then three short years later my little boy was born.
My children inspired me and helped me develop my love of portrait photography. They are great models and at this point completely ignore the camera as if it’s just another part of me. I enjoy every minute with my children and love seeing the world through their eyes. They drive me to do what I do and to do it well. They have taught me so much about who I am and who I want to be. It is also because of them that I greatly value the time I spend with the parents and children that I work with. Connections are everything when working with kids. You have to have the patience to get to know them in order to truly capture their spirit in a picture. During the time I spend talking, writing, and shooting you and your family it is my goal to get to know you and your family and make you feel at ease to be yourselves so that you receive the fabulous family pictures you deserve.
Check it out! I was recently published in Maryland Family Magazine! See the article here!
