I’ve recently joined up with a fantastic organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS). NILMDTS is a non-profit organization that assists families who have suffered early infant loss by providing free professional photography services in order to preserve their childs legacy and loving memory. Every year this organization runs a cute kid contest and this year I’ll be participating! Last year the organizaion was able to raise $44,000 and we hope to raise more this year! Snippets {Maryland Child and Family Photographer}
This fall was a great one! I had so much fun meeting new friends and clients and playing with some crazy cute kids! I did fail in one aspect though. I fear I left out the blogging world! The craziness of the season made it difficult for me to keep up with the growing collection of websites and social networking sites. As a photographer who’s main market comes from friends, family and social media, keeping these connections is important. With most people requesting Facebook posts, my poor blog was left out. :( So I have a quick post for my blog followers to check out some of my more recent session. I will have more to post after the holidays. (after gifts have been given out. :P) Enjoy! And if you want to see more, head over to my Facebook page!
Engaged!
It was great to meet this couple yesterday! I have to say, I am so impressed with Ms. L here. She was so committed to getting these pictures done that even though she broke her foot and hadn’t had it set yet, she still kept her appointment! The poor thing couldn’t put any weight on it and was trekking through Old Ellicott City like a champ without any complaints. I think I’d be home on the couch with some serious pain killers…but I’m a wuss when it comes to pain so no surprise there. :P
Ms. L is a history major so they fittingly chose Old Ellicott City to do their engagement photos. It’s a great historic location founded in 1772. It has the B&O railroad museum, lots of old buildings and bridges and great little nooks to take pictures in. The trick to Old Ellicott is to go during the week when it isn’t crowded with people and cars. Mr. C is a former Marine and is in school for Criminal Justice.
Good luck on your upcoming graduation and marriage! It was so great to work with you!
Disclaimer: The train tracks used for these images are not live tracks. They are a small section of reclaimed tracks that are now part of the B&O museum.
The B Family {Ellicott City Family Photographer}
It was great working with this family this past weekend! We shot inside and outdoors by the little stream in their backyard. It was fun going over the “river” and through the “woods” to get some of these shots! Enjoy!
birthday mini {Ellicott City Child Photographer}
This was the perfect little birthday mini. This little guys birthday party was taking place at Clark Elioak Farm in the afternoon. Mom called and scheduled a mini session (30-45 minutes of shooting) to take place right before the party at the farm. It was perfect. Little N was in a great mood, it was a great location and Mom and Dad scheduled it perfectly so that right after we finished up, they had time to set up and spend the rest of the day celebrating their beautiful boys first birthday. Mom and Dad, thanks for letting me come out to help you celebrate!
Beautiful Miss. C {Catonsville Senior Photographer}
I had so much fun working with and getting to know Miss. C. She is such a natural beauty inside and out. With barely a wisp of make-up and a down to earth personality to match, she is clearly comfortable in her own skin, a trait many don’t develop till later in life. And this girl was a trooper! With all the rain we have had the bugs were out in full force! We were constantly clearly cobwebs, brushing ants aside and running from mosquitos, and this girl can run! (cross country champ) :) Thankfully Mom came to the rescue with some bug spray and we continued right along. Thank you Miss. C for letting me share a bit of your senior experience with you. I had a blast and am so excited to see where your life takes you.
5 day old beauty {Catonsville infant photographer}
Beautiful Baby L came into this world five short days ago and is already charming the hearts of those she meets. She’s a little peanut at a little less than 7 pounds and barely (if even?) 18 inches. It’s hard to tell who babies look like usually but going through her gallery there are a few images that make me think she’ll look a bit like her beautiful big sister that I had the pleasure of photographing just a few short weeks ago for her 18 month pictures. Enjoy!
